Origin of OSP and OSF
January 17, 2026
Sorry for my MISSING time. Lol.
Anyway, OSP stands for Objectshowpedia and OSF stands for Object Show Forums. This post is to detail what led to me creating these two websites relating to one of the things I like the most... object shows.
Objectshowpedia
Back in April 2024, I wanted to make an object show wiki dedicated to object shows in their entirety, this time only for official content. There was already another one, Object Show Fanonpedia, but that was for fanfiction. Another one, called Objectpedia, already existed but it was dead and only detailed the characters. As for as I know, this one was created I think in 2013. There was also one in 2014 and was also abandoned. I named it Object Show Wiki, because that was the common custom for new Fandom/Wikia wikis back then and used the subdomain objectshow-osc, as in "Object show/OSC". It was founded by me on April 26, 2024 as I have the remnants of the email I recieved at 5:14 PM.
I didn't choose Miraheze for a stupid reason back then. Look I was nearly 13 years old at the time (birthday June 29) and there were still traces of stupidity on my brain apparently. I thought that Miraheze by April 2024. Apparently in 2023, Miraheze was going to shut down before it skyrocketed and became popular, so they chose not to...I think. I got this information from Equestripedia, completely unaware that it was outdated. Yeah I was stupid.
Anyway, by June 15, 2024, I had started to abandon that wiki as a result of me experimenting with XAMPP and I entered into the first era of Objectshowpedia, the Localhost era. Back then, besides me, it was impossible to access it since it was only accessible to the user behind the site. I suggested to OSC Discord admin Gamebuilder2000 on which to choose the name of the wiki: Objectpedia or Objectshowpedia. She chose the latter and ended up being thankful for her. I don't remember when I abandoned it but I think it was at least by September 1, 2024. On that day, I gained permission from my mother to buy "objectshowpedia.com" through Bluehost. And I basically copy and pasted the localhost pages with the new one. I used to believe that it was officially launched on September 2, 2024. A Wayback Machine archive however mentions that it began on September 1, as the first successful installation began on that date apparently, before being redone a day later and has been stable ever since. The logo and favicon were also made, and they are still in use to this day.
Mostly during the beginning of each month, the website would inexplicably shut down multiple times by Bluehost and I discovered that it was because I forgot to pay them (the only incident being recorded was on January 21). On January 30, 2025, the wiki had to be rebuilt to MediaWiki 1.43.0 because I was not a tech pro at the time (and I'm still not to this day). I didn't know how to update it manually and had to delete the old wiki and manually import everything. This began when I uploaded the current file for Two in the page and started glitching out and I realized that the version OSP was used at the time, 1.42.1, ended support on a few days earlier. I was lucky to replace it with 1.43.0 because it was of long term support (LTS).
Some time I think in mid 2025, I changed the host to HostGator because Bluehost was getting much more expensive. I had paranoia one day on August 3 that due to increasing pages and lack of really fun extensions, it was gonna become more expensive so I decided to end the self-hosting era on August 4, 2025 and changed the wiki hosting service to WikiOasis. On that day, I made the wiki's 251st request at 18:39 UTC and was approved by Globe at 19:43 UTC. These details can be found in the request queue page. As of right now, I'm trying to change the PageImages extent on namespaces to get the Previews extension work again due to some tinkering.
Object Show Forums
This one by far has the shortest history right now. I created it on January 13, 2026 at 7:09 BRT, based off of the MSPA Forums (the official Homestuck forums) and apparently as I saw the disaster that is OSCtwt, I felt justified on making it, especially with Reddit's current state and the path Discord is going for (implementing worldwide age verification for IDs and going public to make the worst decisions, trust me Bloomberg revealed this information). The first member besides me was SkullOSC, who is the current owner of the OSC Production Server.
