Haven and My Plans
March 15, 2026
Just to remind you all, I have my blog posts unscheduled right now so I'll try to be more active on it. Anyway, have y'all ever heard of Haven (Social)? It is an up-and-coming (if possible through Kickstarter crowdfunding) social media platform meant to:
- Protect users from AI surveillance
- Protect concent from generative AI scrapers
- Free users from censorship
- Promote healthy usage of social media (by that they mean content that is made specifically to keep you calm and pacient, not mad like most do)
- Easy migration to other platforms
- No abuse involving copyright and monetization
The team's founder and leader, William Lavelle, is funding this project through crowdfunding with the goal of 100,000 dollars. I wish I could help, maybe if one of my parents win the lottery because we are broke and I don't have any form of money. However, if the campaign succeeds, I have my own plans for what to do in this platform. I had grown more and more disinterested with YouTube and other big social media platforms on the Internet, since starting out in 2019.
My own plans (if possible)
I might be able to establish a Miraheze wiki and I will try to follow the Content Policy for the best that I can possibly be. Once Haven starts, I will make a video with links to polls requiring users to which skin should be used as the default skin and if extensions relating to Social tools can be used in the wiki. They can be reversible by democratic processes (by that I mean voting processes). I might also open a Fluxer (or Commet) community as well for better discussion for users.
As for me, I might make some commentary videos, short animations, gameplays and potentially livestreams if possible. I'm playing to make lore in some parts involving the beginning, middle and end of the video. Notice the bold letters to make up what I am thinking for a video I'm making?
