How to play Object SMP

I dedicated this blog post for people, specifically people who created object shows, to play Minecraft: Java Edition together in a server and specified modpack. There are some stuff to download to actually get in to the server, which is mostly utility. You might have to read the entire post to better understand it.

Some important notes

If you want to spend your time animating, or if you don't like Minecraft and you're not playing it then you can just brush it off and go on with your day.
If you don't have an official copy of Minecraft or you don't want to fund Microsoft, you won't unfortunately be able to play the server when you resort to downloading and/or using a cracked/pirated Minecraft launcher, since Notch did promote that if you don't have a copy of it, then pirate it. The server, being an Aternos server, doesn't have the Cracked option, the one allowing cracked launcher players to join, enabled due to glitches regarding the skins.
The second half of 2026 is coming, meaning that Discord is going to implement mandatory facial scans/ID verification just for people to use it. If you want to contact me somewhere else, use Fluxer (my username is MateyOSC#5227).

Understanding Object SMP

The SMP server uses Aternos as a free option, because that's the cheapest option. It uses mods for better functioning and the purpose for Object SMP is for better meeting with other creators, socializing and having fun. The server will only decide to play and beat the base game (as in killing the Wither and Ender Dragon) when everyone decides to finish it. We instead need to build settlements and make structures, factions, world building, wars if we need to (but no TNT booming). Yes, all of that jazz.

Mods in the modpack

Do NOT try to update the mods here. It will break the game if you do.

Carry On: a mod that can carry mobs and chests or others (to carry, must press shift and then right-click on "any Tile Entity or mob to lift and carry". The admin, MateyOSC, uses it to punish players.
Fabric API: the API used for literally everything Fabric related (version or modpack).
Mod Menu: a mod that puts a menu that shows all functioning mods. I just put it there because I liked it.
No Chat Reports: Makes all chat reports unfunctional so that no one exploits them. Why? Imagine someone with bad will uses it on someone. I just put it there to guarantee no one does that.
No Chat Restrictions: IMPORTANT FOR BRITISH USERS. If you don't want to handover your ID to Minecraft, simply use this mod to regain chat abilities.
Open Parties and Claims: Open parties and claims make claims to territories and parties of players. Useful for potential PVP or worldbuilding.
Replay Mod: a mod that allows you to record scenes. Replay Voice Chat is an addition of it, allowing the recording of Simple Voice Chat.
Simple Voice Chat: It's voice chat. You can hear players' voices when you're close to them. If you need contact with one of them, simply say in chat where you are and they'll find you and both can communicate plans or whatever.
Sodium: Enhances graphics and the Video Settings.
WI Zoom: Pressing a key (change it to C for better option) will zoom in your FOV to see better.
Xaero's Minimap and World Map: These two make a map so that you can find each other and other lands.

All mods that are undocumented here are extremely minor mods with no major modifications.

How to get the modpack

Install Modrinth. Might require logging into getting your Minecraft account through Microsoft.
This .mrpack file from catbox.moe (click that link to get the file) is NOT a "Potentially Dangerous Download", it is just the file used to import the modpack into Modrinth.
Import the .mrpack file to get access to the modpack.

How to get access to the server

Contact MateyOSC on Discord (username: mateyosc) or Fluxer, only after July 2026 (username on Fluxer: MateyOSC#5227).
If you are a real creator, like MsBonnieArt or FusionAnimations, then I'll send you both the Aternos server to connect and the server to discuss and when to decide a session will be activated. The server will get deleted if we take too long (many months) to decide.
